The diet and weight loss program may end after reaching a certain weight but the main task of maintaining a healthy weight is the main job. Eating well means that you should have a balanced diet and should never skip meals. Skipping meals reduces you metabolism which in turns absorbs any food that you consume that leads to weight gain. It is to be remembered that you do not have to overdo anything, start with 15 to 20 minutes of activity and gradually you can increase you pace according to your convenience and comfort level.

Make a routine of all the daily activities that you perform and follow that schedule. Have proper sleep and check your weight at least once a week and monitor any changes. Moreover, it is necessary that you keep all the tempting food away and out of sight, because if it will be in sight and in reach you will be tempted to have some. It is okay to munch on your favorite candy bar once in a while or on special occasions, but do not start eating these treats more.

It is also a good thing to keep a daily food journal. It is a very beneficial way to track your calories and know what you are eating. If you think it would not be possible to use an actual journal, you can use any of the mobile applications that are available and keep a track of all your activities and food intake and calories.
